About Us

Gilad and Shira Spitalnik are dedicated professionals with a shared passion for youth development and community building. Gilad has spent over 25 years running youth programmes worldwide, from international youth leadership initiatives to local adventure and educational programmes. His expertise spans working with at-risk youth, those with learning difficulties like ADHD and Asperger’s, and young people struggling with substance abuse. As a certified life coach and NLP practitioner from the Jerusalem Coaching Institute, Gilad has positively influenced the lives of many young individuals across the globe.

Shira, an Israeli native from a family of 11, grew up in a home where her parents ran a facility for Jewish individuals and youth facing significant life challenges. She comes from a background of psychodrama therapy, working with families at risk and coaching mothers on education and young people in life skills. Shira brings her unique skills and compassionate nature to her family and community. Together, Gilad and Shira create a holistic approach to education and personal development, blending their professional expertise with a deep sense of empathy and commitment.

In 2020, they decided to homeschool their four children, a decision that led to creating a personalised vision and mission for their family. Their commitment to building community extends beyond their immediate surroundings. In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, they opened their home to the community in 2021, hosting monthly outdoor Shabbat gatherings followed by large meals, welcoming around 50 people to share in the warmth and spirituality of the day. These gatherings fostered a sense of unity and led to the establishment of a new synagogue in their neighbourhood by a young couple inspired by their vision.

Gilad and Shira are deeply involved in various initiatives that promote education, sustainability, and personal growth. Their children participate in these endeavours, learning the values of responsibility, hard work, and compassion. As founding members of a new synagogue, they play active roles in teaching and logistics, while their children contribute to different aspects of its operations. This holistic approach to life and community building is at the heart of everything they do, ensuring that their family, and those they welcome into their home, grow in a loving and supportive environment.
